How do we wet your appetite while promoting the merits of good bacteria and healthy digestion? It was a big question for this $2.9 billion dollar a year company about to enter the U.S. market. One we visually answered in the design and production of seven spots slated to run over three years. We worked closely with the agency and client on over 70 unique renderings of the product, ranging from photoreal to impressionistic before concluding a bright, toonlike aesthetic presents potentially uncomfortable topics in appealing fashion. Yakult’s U.S. operations continue growing year over year with estimated consumption (2009) around 100,000 bottles per day and the construction of stateside manufacturing plants to satisfy increaed demand.
